The 10th National Payroll Conference gets underway this week at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal, and DataPro Connect are delighted to be offering our sponsorship of the event for the 10th year running.

NHS delegates will be travelling the length and breadth of the country to come together to share best practice, discuss the current issues facing NHS payroll and finance, and to spend time looking to the future to ensure their teams and processes are ready to take on the challenges that lie ahead.

Many of the attendees are already DataPro Connect clients so it’s a great opportunity for us to touch base with our users and to make sure our products and services remain relevant to the issues at hand, but we also relish the opportunity to make new connections and to showcase what we do to a new audience.

HMRC will be in attendance to discuss National Minimum Wage compliance which is a hot topic at the moment in the NHS, and we’ll be on hand to talk about the DataPro Connect National Minimum Wage Report. Our solution uses employee’s dates of birth and a range of user-selectable payments and deductions to calculate where an employee has fallen below the National Minimum Wage, helping Trusts ensure compliance.  The report can be run each week / month, and also holds previous NMW rates so can be run retrospectively. You can read more about the solution here: https://www.dataproconnect.co.uk/nmw-report/

First Things First…

Now, as we all know, free stationery is easily as important as National Minimum Wage compliance, if not more so, and we’re very excited to be able to offer delegates a selection of complimentary pens and post-it notes which are hot off the press with our new logo. But wait… there’s more! To mark the 10th anniversary of the event, we’ve even got some DataPro Connect branded mugs so if you enjoy a more ‘hearty’ cup of tea during the refreshment breaks,  be sure to come and see us, we have you covered!

The conference is always brilliantly organised by the North West Skills Development Network which, to quote the conference brochure, “is an innovative network providing finance, informatics, payroll, procurement and associated NHS staff with the infrastructure for improving leadership and professional development skills, raising standards and sharing good practice through economy-wide learning”. There are also a number of notable names from NHS Payroll on the organising committee, and many more will be speaking at the various sessions giving insight into topics such as the use of AI in NHS finance and how to manage change. We also look forward to hearing from ESR about the exciting developments they have on the horizon.

It’s an honour for DataPro Connect to be part of this amazing event and we look forward to seeing everyone for what will, we’re sure, be a memorable and valuable experience.
